Australian Bass

A staple species of many East Coast fly fishers, the attributes of the Australian Bass make it the ideal sportfish to target on fly.

During summer, the majority of the diet of these snag dwellers is provided through surface sources.  Making them a perfect prospect for dry flies.

An aggressive nature and pound for pound fight that even Kostya Tszyu would be proud of have made these fish a fly fishing favourite of the Australian freshwater.
